The other is to help you choose what dog breed you want for your next puppy. By identifying some inherent dog breed traits, you can decide if it is right for your family and home environment.

You noticed I said some. Just because you choose a dog from a particular dog breed does not mean you are going to get those dog breed traits in your dog. This information should be used as a general guide only for choosing a dog breed. There are different personalities and drives that define each dog regardless of their breed.
